Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Energy Consultant to join our Commercial Sector team in Geraldton. This role focuses on providing expert advice and solutions to commercial clients, helping them optimize energy consumption, reduce costs, and transition to more sustainable energy practices. You will be instrumental in conducting energy audits, developing tailored strategies, and managing client relationships to ensure successful project implementation and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive energy audits and assessments for commercial and industrial clients in the Geraldton region.
  • Develop and present tailored energy management strategies, including efficiency upgrades, renewable energy integration, and demand-side management solutions.
  • Prepare detailed proposals, cost-benefit analyses, and financial justifications for recommended energy projects.
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with commercial clients, acting as a trusted advisor on all energy-related matters.
  • Project manage the implementation of energy solutions, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and government incentives related to energy efficiency and renewable energy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, sales, and operations, to deliver integrated client solutions.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical), Environmental Science, Business, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in energy consulting, energy management, or a commercial role with a strong focus on energy solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform energy audits, analyze consumption data, and identify savings opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with energy analysis software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field or professional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP), or similar.
  • Experience with renewable energy systems (solar PV, battery storage) and smart grid technologies.
  • Knowledge of the Western Australian energy market, regulations, and incentive programs.
  • Proven track record in client relationship management and business development.
