Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Packaging Machinery Technician to join our team in Fayetteville, AR. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our advanced packaging lines. You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various packaging equipment, contributing directly to our production goals. Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on packaging machinery, including fillers, sealers, labelers, and conveying systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
- Execute equipment changeovers and adjustments to accommodate different product specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize machinery performance and minimize downtime.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and company policies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance skills.
Required Skills
- Proven mechanical aptitude and experience with industrial machinery.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills (e.g., motor controls, sensors).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience with PLC systems and HMI interfaces.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or high-speed packaging environment.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
