Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an X-Ray / Radiology File Clerk. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start a career in hospital administration within a dynamic healthcare environment. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success in this role. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient organization and retrieval of patient radiology files, contributing to the smooth operation of our diagnostic imaging department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain physical and electronic patient radiology files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- File, retrieve, and scan X-ray films, CT scans, MRI images, and other diagnostic reports.
- Assist with the preparation and transfer of patient records as required for appointments or external requests.
- Perform data entry and update patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Organize and maintain the filing system, ensuring quick and efficient access to records.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and faxes related to the radiology department.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and other departments regarding file requests.
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed to support department operations.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and patient confidentiality guidelines (HIPAA/PIPEDA).
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with office software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
