Job Description
CareConnect Nannies is seeking a warm, responsible, and engaging After School Nanny to provide care for children in the Campbelltown area. This part-time role is perfect for someone looking for consistent afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. You will be responsible for providing a safe and stimulating environment, assisting with homework, preparing snacks, and engaging in age-appropriate activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on a child’s development while working flexible, predictable hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children after school, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with homework and school projects.
- Prepare healthy after-school snacks.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, games, and creative play.
- Light tidying of play areas and children's belongings.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding the children's day and any notable events.
- Manage school pick-ups/drop-offs if required (details discussed during interview).
Required Skills
- Previous experience in childcare (babysitting, nannying, or similar).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for children.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Valid Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Own reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or similar qualification.
- Experience with children of various age groups.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Positive references from previous childcare roles.
