Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Cold Store Pickers to join our bustling distribution centre in Wollongong. This role is crucial to our supply chain, ensuring that chilled and frozen goods are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for dispatch to our stores. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment, contributing directly to our mission of providing fresh products to our customers. We offer premium chilled rates, comprehensive training, and a supportive team atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack chilled and frozen products from designated locations within the cold storage facility.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Ensure product quality and rotation standards are maintained.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the cold store environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily picking targets.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cold and sometimes physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and excellent punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or cold storage setting is a plus, but not essential.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
