Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Curriculum Developer / Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective educational content and curricula across various subject areas and learning modalities. This position requires a strong understanding of instructional design principles, learning theories, and a commitment to creating high-quality, impactful learning experiences. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional technologists, and product teams to bring innovative educational solutions to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive curriculum frameworks, learning objectives, and instructional strategies.
- Create engaging and interactive learning content for diverse audiences, including digital modules, textbooks, assessments, and multimedia resources.
- Conduct thorough research to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with educational standards and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts to gather content, validate information, and ensure pedagogical soundness.
- Incorporate feedback from pilot programs and user testing to iteratively improve curriculum effectiveness and learner outcomes.
- Ensure all developed materials adhere to accessibility guidelines and promote inclusive learning experiences.
- Stay current with the latest trends in educational technology, instructional design, and curriculum development.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) of professional experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding and practical application of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, backward design) and adult learning theories.
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging, effective, and pedagogically sound educational content.
- Strong project management skills, organizational abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Technology, or a relevant discipline.
- Prior experience with K-12 or Higher Education curriculum development projects.
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles as applied to educational software and platforms.
- Certification in instructional design or e-learning development.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
