Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Airline Fleet Planning Intern to join our Route Network team. This entry-level internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic aviation industry, focusing on how our fleet is optimally deployed across our extensive network. You will support senior planners in critical decision-making processes, contributing to route optimization, capacity planning, and long-term strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about aviation, data analysis, and operational efficiency, providing comprehensive training and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with data collection and analysis related to flight schedules, passenger demand, and operational performance.
- Support the preparation of reports and presentations on route network performance and fleet utilization.
- Contribute to market research activities to identify new route opportunities and evaluate existing ones.
- Help maintain and update fleet planning models and databases.
- Collaborate with various departments, including Commercial, Operations, and Finance, to gather necessary information.
- Participate in team meetings and strategic discussions, offering fresh perspectives and insights.
- Undertake ad-hoc analytical tasks and projects as required by the Fleet Planning team.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Aviation Management, Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Demonstrated interest in the aviation industry and airline operations.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Prior experience with large datasets or database management is advantageous but not required.
