Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Animal Behaviorist (Assistant) in a dedicated training role. This is an incredible entry-level opportunity for someone passionate about animal behavior and welfare, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a meaningful cause. You will work closely with our experienced Senior Animal Behaviorists, receiving hands-on training and mentorship in various aspects of animal behavior assessment, modification techniques, and client education. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for individuals with little to no prior professional experience but a strong desire to build a career in animal behavior.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Animal Behaviorists during behavior assessments and training sessions for various animals (primarily dogs and cats).
- Observe and document animal behavior, progress, and responses to training protocols.
- Prepare training areas, equipment, and materials as needed for sessions.
- Support the implementation of individualized behavior modification plans under supervision.
- Learn and apply positive reinforcement techniques ethically and effectively.
- Assist with client communication, including answering questions and providing basic guidance on training exercises.
- Maintain accurate records of animal behavior, training progress, and client interactions.
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and positive environment for all animals and staff.

- Completion of any animal-related coursework or certifications (e.g., animal care, psychology, biology) is a plus, but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and accept constructive feedback.
