Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Association Manager to lead the operational management and strategic development of our diverse portfolio of professional bodies. This pivotal role involves overseeing member engagement, event coordination, administrative functions, and communication strategies, ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the Council and its member associations. The ideal candidate will be a community-focused individual with a passion for professional development and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Council and its member associations.
  • Develop and implement member engagement strategies to foster growth and retention.
  • Organise and execute professional development events, workshops, and networking functions.
  • Oversee communication channels, including newsletters, website updates, and social media.
  • Maintain accurate membership databases and financial records.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for the Executive Board.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, government bodies, and partners.
  • Provide administrative support to various committees and working groups.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and governance standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in association management, office administration, or project coordination.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated capacity for stakeholder engagement and relationship building.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience with Not-for-Profit organisations or professional bodies.
  • Familiarity with the Riverland and Murraylands regions.
