Job Description
Metropolitan Sports Academy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Athletic Director / Head Coach with a strong background in international sponsorship. This pivotal role involves overseeing all athletic programs, managing coaching staff, developing robust international athletic exchange programs, and actively seeking and securing international sponsorships to support our initiatives. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader, an exceptional coach, and a strategic fundraiser, dedicated to enhancing the athletic experience for our diverse student-athlete population.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee all athletic programs and activities.
- Recruit, supervise, and mentor coaching staff, ensuring high standards of performance and student-athlete welfare.
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of international athletic exchange programs and initiatives.
- Identify, cultivate, and secure international sponsorships and partnerships.
- Manage athletic department budgets and resources efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all athletic association rules and regulations.
- Serve as Head Coach for a designated sport (e.g., Soccer, Basketball), providing expert instruction and leadership.
- Promote a positive and inclusive athletic culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, academic achievement, and global awareness.
Required Skills
- Proven leadership and management experience in an athletic department or sports organization.
- Demonstrated success in coaching at a competitive level.
- Strong understanding of international sports landscape and recruitment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in budget management and strategic planning.
- Ability to travel internationally as required for sponsorship and program development.
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Education, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience securing international sponsorships or grants.
- Fluency in a second language, especially Spanish or Mandarin.
- Familiarity with various international sports federations and governing bodies.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
