Job Description
We are searching for an enthusiastic and reliable Live-in Nanny/Au Pair to provide attentive care for our two wonderful children. This is a unique opportunity to experience life in regional Australia, providing support to our family while exploring the stunning natural beauty of the Katherine region. You will be responsible for a variety of child-related duties, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and organized environment for our kids. No prior professional experience is required, as we are committed to providing guidance and support to the right candidate who demonstrates a genuine love for children and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging and age-appropriate care for children aged 4 and 7.
- Assist with daily routines including waking up, dressing, mealtimes, and bedtime.
- Organize and participate in creative play, educational activities, and outdoor adventures.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
- Light housework related to the children's areas (e.g., tidying up toys, children's laundry).
- Assist with school drop-offs and pick-ups (if applicable).
- Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment.
Required Skills
- Genuine love for children and a patient, caring nature.
- Reliable, responsible, and trustworthy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to a new family environment and cultural setting.
- Ability to legally work in Australia (valid visa or citizenship).
- Non-smoker.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with childcare (babysitting, volunteering, etc.).
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon arrival).
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
- Proficiency in English.
- Cultural sensitivity and an open mind.
