Job Description
Greggs plc is seeking a dedicated and reliable Bakehouse Flour Sweeper to join our night shift team in Bromley. This entry-level position is crucial for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our busy bakehouse. You will be responsible for ensuring the production area is spotless, primarily focusing on sweeping flour and debris, and preparing the space for the next day’s operations. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in a food production environment without prior experience. We’re looking for someone who is diligent, takes pride in their work, and can work effectively as part of a team during night hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep and remove flour, dough scraps, and other debris from the bakehouse floor and work surfaces.
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Clean and sanitise baking equipment, trays, and utensils as directed.
- Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the shift supervisor.
- Support other cleaning tasks as required to maintain a pristine work environment.
- Ensure all cleaning records are accurately completed.
- Work as part of a team to achieve cleanliness targets for the night shift.

- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift light to moderate weights.
