Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Blood Donor Carer to join our team in Aberdeen. This entry-level role is crucial in supporting our blood donation process by providing excellent care and comfort to our donors. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary – just a genuine desire to help others and contribute to a life-saving service. You will be the friendly face our donors see, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their donation journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome blood donors warmly, ensuring a positive experience.
- Provide post-donation care, monitoring donors for any adverse reactions.
- Offer refreshments and support to donors in the recovery area.
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for donors.
- Assist clinical staff with preparing donor areas and equipment.
- Respond to donor queries and provide accurate information regarding the donation process.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth donor flow and operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and SNBTS protocols.
