Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Blood Donor Carer to join our team in Aberdeen. This entry-level role is crucial in supporting our blood donation process by providing excellent care and comfort to our donors. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary – just a genuine desire to help others and contribute to a life-saving service. You will be the friendly face our donors see, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their donation journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome blood donors warmly, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Provide post-donation care, monitoring donors for any adverse reactions.
  • Offer refreshments and support to donors in the recovery area.
  • Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for donors.
  • Assist clinical staff with preparing donor areas and equipment.
  • Respond to donor queries and provide accurate information regarding the donation process.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth donor flow and operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and SNBTS protocols.
