Job Description
Are you looking for a flexible role with weekly pay in a dynamic retail environment? BWS Mandurah is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Bottle Shop Attendant for casual night shifts. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to learn, as full training will be provided. You will be an integral part of our team, ensuring customers receive friendly service and that the store remains tidy and well-stocked.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and assist customers with product selections and queries.
- Accurately operate point-of-sale systems, handling cash and electronic transactions.
- Efficiently restock shelves, fridges, and displays, ensuring product availability.
- Verify customer identification for age-restricted purchases in compliance with liquor laws.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe store environment.
- Assist with incoming stock deliveries and rotate products as required.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including responsible service of alcohol.
- Support the team in achieving daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic numeracy skills for transactions and stock management.
- Capable of lifting and moving moderate loads (up to 15-20kg) and standing for extended periods.
- A responsible attitude towards the sale of alcohol.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced retail setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (or willingness to obtain one prior to commencing employment).
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is advantageous but not essential.
