Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Lab Technician with a specialized focus on Crown & Bridge fabrication to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a meticulous eye for detail, a deep understanding of dental anatomy and occlusion, and proven expertise in creating high-quality, aesthetically pleasing, and functionally sound crowns and bridges. This role is crucial in ensuring our restorative solutions meet the highest standards of our clinical partners and their patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, wax, build, and finish porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) and all-ceramic restorations including crowns, bridges, inlays, and onlays.
- Utilize various materials suchabilities to achieve precise anatomical contours, occlusion, and aesthetics.
- Perform accurate shade matching and layering techniques to replicate natural tooth characteristics.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including furnaces, mills, and scanners.
- Review prescriptions and discuss case requirements with dentists to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Conduct quality control checks at various stages of the fabrication process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Dental Lab Technician, specifically in Crown & Bridge.
- Proficiency in conventional waxing techniques and ceramic layering.
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy, morphology, and occlusion.
- Excellent manual dexterity and artistic aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail and precision.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with colleagues and clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal qualification from an accredited dental technology program.
- Experience with CAD/CAM design software (e.g., Exocad, 3Shape) and milling machines.
- Familiarity with various restorative materials including zirconia, e.max, and traditional porcelains.
- Advanced knowledge of implant-supported restorations.
