Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Bowling Lane Oiler to join our Fort Lauderdale team. This critical late-night role ensures our bowling lanes are meticulously maintained, providing optimal playing conditions for our guests. You will be responsible for the precise application of lane oil, cleaning, and routine maintenance of our state-of-the-art bowling equipment. This is an essential position for the smooth operation and success of our alley, working primarily during overnight hours when the center is closed to the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain specialized lane oiling machines with precision and care.
- Apply lane oil according to specified patterns and schedules to ensure optimal playing conditions.
- Perform thorough cleaning of bowling lanes, approaches, and pin deck areas.
- Conduct routine inspections of lane surfaces, machines, and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Execute minor repairs and adjustments to bowling machinery as required.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and supplies used.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during all maintenance activities.
- Assist with other late-night facility maintenance tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven mechanical aptitude or experience with machinery.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during late-night/overnight hours.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to follow guidelines.
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility during overnight shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a maintenance or technical role, ideally within a recreation or entertainment venue.
- Familiarity with bowling alley operations or lane maintenance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
