Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Security Specialist to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing security controls and practices within our cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our cloud-based systems and data, working closely with development, operations, and IT teams to integrate security into every stage of the software development lifecycle and infrastructure deployment. This position requires a strong understanding of cloud architecture, security best practices, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls and configurations across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests of cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
- Monitor cloud security posture, investigate security incidents, and respond to threats in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Provide expert guidance on cloud security architecture, data protection, identity and access management (IAM), and network security.
- Stay current with emerging cloud security threats, technologies, and regulations.
- Participate in incident response activities and post-incident analysis.
Required Skills
- Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with cloud security tools and services (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, GCP Security Command Center)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks)
- Strong knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Understanding of identity and access management (IAM) in cloud environments
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer).
- Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices.
- Experience in a large enterprise or global organization.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
