Job Description
Join the Coles team in Wodonga as a Bread Delivery Helper for our night shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable individuals seeking stable work with high pay. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring fresh bread and bakery products are efficiently loaded and delivered to various Coles stores and designated points throughout the night, playing a critical role in our morning operations. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience in delivery is necessary. We value punctuality, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced nocturnal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the careful loading and unloading of bread and bakery items onto delivery vehicles.
- Ensure all products are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Follow pre-determined delivery routes and schedules.
- Verify accuracy of product counts against delivery manifests.
- Assist the driver with navigation and delivery tasks as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicles.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 20kg) repeatedly.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night hours.
- Basic literacy and numeracy for checking manifests.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- A commitment to safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or delivery environment (not required, but a plus).
- Current Australian Driver's License (Car or above) is an advantage, but not strictly required for a Helper role.
