Job Description

Join the team at Allentown Brew Works as a Brewery Spent Grain Shoveler. This vital role is essential to our brewing process and our sustainability efforts, ensuring that our spent grain is efficiently collected and prepared for local farmers to feed their livestock. This is a physically demanding position involving heavy lifting and consistent manual labor in a fast-paced brewery environment. No prior experience in brewing is necessary; we are looking for dedicated individuals with a strong work ethic and the ability to perform rigorous physical tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manually shovel spent grain from brewing tanks into collection bins or trucks.
  • Operate and clean specialized equipment for grain transfer and storage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the spent grain collection area.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures related to heavy lifting and machinery operation.
  • Assist with general brewery cleanup and organization as needed.
  • Ensure timely and efficient transfer of grain to meet farmer pick-up schedules.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50+ lbs)
  • Strong physical stamina and endurance
