Job Description
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Brickie’s Labourer to join our growing team in Gosford. This is a hands-on, physically demanding outdoor role crucial to supporting our skilled bricklayers on various construction sites. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient progress of our bricklaying operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and mix mortar and cement to required specifications
- Carry and distribute bricks, blocks, and other materials to bricklayers
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, clearing debris and excess materials
- Assist with setting up scaffolding and other equipment safely
- Operate basic power tools and machinery as instructed, adhering to safety guidelines
- Follow instructions from site supervisors and bricklayers diligently
- Load and unload construction materials
- Perform general site clean-up and labouring tasks as needed
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding tasks in an outdoor environment
- Ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly throughout the day
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team
- Basic understanding of construction site safety (White Card is mandatory)
- Willingness to learn and contribute to a productive work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card) – essential for site access
- Prior experience on a construction site is an advantage, but not strictly required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transport to various job sites
- First Aid certification (desirable)
