Job Description
Are you a night owl looking for a stable, entry-level opportunity? Springfield Logistics & Sorting Solutions is seeking diligent and reliable individuals to join our team as Bulk Junk Mail Sorters for a Post Office Night Shift. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately sorting various types of bulk mail, advertisements, and other postal items, contributing to the efficient operation of local postal services. This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort bulk mail, advertisements, and other postal items into designated bins or areas.
- Load and unload mail containers, trays, and equipment as required.
- Operate basic sorting equipment safely and efficiently after training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all company and postal service safety guidelines and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet sorting deadlines and operational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support sorting operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during an entire shift.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable transportation to and from our Springfield facility for night shifts.
- Basic verbal communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to work consistent night shifts.
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or logistics environment (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with basic mail sorting procedures.
