Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Norwich. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in understanding business needs, translating them into clear requirements, and working closely with technical teams to deliver effective solutions. You will be instrumental in driving process improvements and ensuring alignment between business strategy and IT capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders at all levels to gather and validate requirements.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, concise, and actionable functional and non-functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the testing phase by reviewing test cases and helping to resolve defects.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical delivery teams.
  • Contribute to project planning and scope definition.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a corporate environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques (e.g., interviews, workshops, surveys).
  • Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation (e.g., user stories, process flows, wireframes).
  • Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, BCS Diploma in Business Analysis).
  • Experience in the financial services or insurance industry.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.
