Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Butchers Assistant to join our skilled team in Worthing. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual eager to learn the art of butchery and contribute to our high standards of product quality and customer service. You will work alongside experienced butchers, assisting with daily operations, maintaining our fresh meat counter, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for our customers. Full training will be provided to help you develop the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified butchers in preparing and cutting various meat products.
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the butchery department, equipment, and work areas.
- Serve customers at the meat counter, providing advice on cuts, cooking methods, and product information.
- Ensure proper rotation of products to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
- Handle and store meat according to strict food safety guidelines.
- Receive and check deliveries of fresh meat, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient team environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and health and safety regulations.
