Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Help with light housekeeping duties, such as tidying living areas and laundry.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with appointment scheduling.
- Engage clients in stimulating activities, hobbies, and social interaction.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for clients.
- Accurately document care provided and report any changes in client condition.
Required Skills
- A genuine desire to help and care for others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to various client needs.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- No prior care experience required; full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (an asset but not always required).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (training can be provided if needed).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
