Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to kick-start a career in a hands-on trade? Choices Flooring Osborne Park is seeking a motivated and reliable Carpet Installer Assistant to join our growing team. This is an entry-level position where no prior experience is required – full training will be provided on the job. You will work closely with experienced installers, learning the intricacies of carpet installation, preparation, and client service. This role involves indoor work, ensuring a consistent environment, and offers a clear path for skill development and career progression within the flooring industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead installers with the preparation of work sites and materials.
- Learn and perform basic carpet cutting, trimming, and seaming under supervision.
- Help with moving furniture and old flooring removal.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools and vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients on site.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Actively participate in on-the-job training and skill development.
