Job Description
We are seeking reliable and motivated Casual Couriers to join our Devonport team. This role focuses on day shifts, primarily within the Central Business District (CBD) of Devonport. You will be responsible for the efficient and safe delivery and collection of parcels and mail items. This is a dynamic role requiring excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver parcels and mail to designated addresses within the Devonport CBD and surrounding areas.
- Collect outgoing mail and parcels from businesses and residents.
- Operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections.
- Provide excellent customer service to recipients and clients.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
- Conduct pre-start and post-start vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian driver's license (manual preferred, but automatic acceptable).
- Ability to lift and carry parcels of varying sizes and weights (up to 25kg).
- Strong geographical knowledge of Devonport or ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Clear communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a driving or delivery role.
- Knowledge of postal services and procedures.
- First Aid certification.
