Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Casual Postie for day shifts in Byron Bay. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and contributing to the local community. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and capable in your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver mail and parcels to homes and businesses within an assigned delivery route.
- Sort and prepare mail for delivery.
- Operate delivery vehicles (motorized or bicycle) in a safe and responsible manner.
- Provide excellent customer service to the community.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain a high standard of presentation and professionalism.
Required Skills
- Current and valid Australian Driver's License (Car or Motorcycle, depending on vehicle type).
- Ability to read and interpret maps and delivery instructions.
- Good physical fitness, capable of lifting up to 16kg and walking/standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Local knowledge of the Byron Bay area.
- Previous experience in a delivery or customer service role (highly regarded but not essential).
