Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Catering Van Driver to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for ensuring our high-quality catered meals and equipment are delivered safely and punctually to various event locations throughout Roswell and nearby regions. You will be responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading catering supplies, ensuring all items arrive in perfect condition, and occasionally assisting with basic setup at client sites. A clean driving record and a commitment to customer satisfaction are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a catering van to transport food, beverages, and catering equipment to event locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Load and unload items carefully, ensuring proper handling and temperature control for food.
- Verify delivery contents against order forms to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with catering staff and clients to ensure smooth drop-offs.
- Assist with basic setup and breakdown of catering items at client venues as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good operating condition of the delivery van.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly.
- Represent Roswell Star Catering professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and local Roswell area roads.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in food delivery or catering logistics.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
