Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Accountant to join our expanding team in Cheltenham. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive accounting services, financial analysis, and strategic advice to our varied portfolio of clients. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., UK GAAP, IFRS).
- Conduct internal and external audits, identifying discrepancies and recommending improvements to financial processes.
- Manage client accounts, including year-end statutory accounts, tax planning, payroll, and VAT returns.
- Provide expert financial advice and strategic planning to clients to optimise their financial performance.
- Liaise with clients to gather necessary information, clarify details, and resolve queries effectively and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and statutory deadlines.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to team development initiatives through knowledge sharing and training.
Required Skills
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years post-qualification) in a public practice or industry accounting role.
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- High level of accuracy and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong client relationships.

- Experience with advanced financial modelling and forecasting techniques.
