Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join our executive leadership team in Colchester, Essex. This pivotal role will oversee the operational strategy and execution for our Executive Relocation and Visa services across the UK. The COO will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, optimising service delivery, enhancing client satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements in the complex landscape of international mobility and immigration. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in managing large-scale, intricate operations, ideally within a global mobility, relocation, or professional services environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping our service offerings, fostering innovation, and leading a high-performing team to deliver unparalleled service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives, with a specific focus on executive relocation and visa services.
  • Oversee all operational aspects of service delivery, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to established KPIs and SLAs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of operational managers and staff, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Optimise operational processes and workflows using best practices and technology to enhance productivity and client experience.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant immigration laws, regulations, and industry standards across all service lines.
  • Manage operational budgets, drive cost efficiencies, and contribute to P&L performance.
  • Collaborate with sales, client services, and technology teams to ensure seamless integration of service delivery and client solutions.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions and technologies to improve service offerings and operational capabilities.
  • Represent Santa Fe Relocation in key client engagements and industry forums as required.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role (e.g., VP of Operations, COO).
  • Demonstrable experience in global mobility, executive relocation, immigration services, or a related professional services industry.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex operational processes and large, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of international visa and immigration regulations (UK focus preferred).
  • Exceptional strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management and P&L responsibility.
  • Proficiency in leveraging technology for operational efficiency and service delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., GMS, CRP).
  • Experience with change management initiatives and digital transformation projects.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
