Job Description
As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will be the visionary leader responsible for ATB Financial’s technology strategy, architecture, and execution. This pivotal role requires a strategic technologist who can drive innovation, scale our digital platforms, and foster a culture of technical excellence across our global teams. You will be instrumental in leveraging technology to enhance our customer experience, optimize operations, and ensure our systems are secure, resilient, and future-proof.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the overall technology strategy and roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and resilient technology platforms.
- Oversee all aspects of software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management.
- Foster a high-performance engineering culture, attracting, retaining, and developing top global tech talent.
- Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies and evaluating their potential impact on our services.
- Manage technology budgets, resources, and vendor relationships effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and industry standards.
- Represent ATB Financial's technology vision to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Proven experience of 15+ years in a senior technology leadership role (CTO, VP Engineering, or similar).
- Deep expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern software development practices.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, data privacy, and regulatory compliance in financial services.
- Exceptional strategic planning, execution, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and lead diverse, high-performing global technology teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA.
- Experience with AI/ML integration in financial products.
- Knowledge of blockchain technology and its applications.
- Experience working with a distributed or hybrid workforce model.
