Job Description
As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at CGI Inc. for our strategic initiatives, you will be a visionary leader responsible for setting the technological direction, strategy, and execution for our global talent-supported projects and platforms. This pivotal role requires an executive capable of driving innovation, managing complex technical landscapes, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration across diverse teams. You will champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, ensure the scalability and security of our systems, and align our technological roadmap with business objectives to support growth and client success globally. This role demands a unique ability to leverage and integrate talent from various regions, optimizing our global capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the overall technology strategy and roadmap, aligned with business goals and global talent utilization.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers, architects, and technical professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and robust technology solutions.
- Drive research and development initiatives, identifying emerging technologies and assessing their potential impact.
- Manage the technology budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and ROI.
- Establish and enforce technical standards, best practices, and governance policies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and data security standards.
- Collaborate closely with product, sales, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Represent the company's technological vision to clients, partners, and the wider tech community.
- Implement strategies for effective integration and management of globally distributed talent and technical resources.
Required Skills
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology roles, with at least 5 years in a senior executive (CTO/VP Engineering) capacity.
- Proven track record of defining and executing technology strategy in a large-scale, complex organization.
- Deep expertise in software architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data management, and cybersecurity.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage global teams.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and adapt to rapidly changing technological landscapes.
- Experience in managing significant technology budgets and vendor relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- MBA or equivalent business leadership experience.
- Experience in the IT consulting or professional services industry.
- Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional) or cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with AI/ML, blockchain, or other emerging technologies.
