Job Description

You will be the first point of contact for Ontarians seeking assistance, providing information and guidance on a wide range of government services. Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls from the public promptly and professionally.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding various government programs and services.
- Listen actively to caller inquiries and issues, demonstrating empathy and patience.
- Document caller interactions and resolutions accurately in our system.
- Escalate complex issues to senior agents or specialized departments when necessary.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adherence to privacy regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong customer service orientation and a desire to help others.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No prior call center experience required – full training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in French or another language relevant to Ontario's diverse population.
- Experience in a public-facing role or volunteer work.
- Familiarity with government services or administrative processes.
