Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and physically capable Civil Labourers to join our dedicated team in Wangaratta, Victoria. You will play a crucial role in supporting our civil construction operations, working alongside experienced tradespeople and engineers to ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., pipe layers, concrete finishers, plant operators) on various civil construction tasks.
- Perform general labouring duties including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and site clean-up.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively (e.g., jackhammers, compactors, grinders).
- Assist with the preparation and pouring of concrete, including formwork setup and stripping.
- Support trenching and excavation activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring proper storage and handling.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety procedures, WHS regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding manual labour.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety (WHS).
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic understanding of construction site operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Previous experience in civil construction or a similar outdoor labouring role (approx. 6 months).
- Current Australian C-Class Driver's Licence.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience operating small plant or equipment (e.g., plate compactors, cut-off saws).
