Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Subsea / Marine Engineer to join our dynamic team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This role is perfect for an experienced professional looking to advance their career in the offshore industry. Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and optimize subsea equipment and marine systems.
- Prepare technical specifications, reports, and detailed engineering drawings.
- Conduct simulations and analyses for structural integrity, hydrodynamics, and operational performance.
- Provide engineering support during project execution, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure project success.
- Participate in offshore operations and site visits as required.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technological advancements.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in subsea engineering, offshore oil & gas, or marine industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS).
- Strong understanding of marine mechanics, hydrodynamics, and structural analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration in Canada.
- Experience with ROV systems, umbilical design, or subsea production systems.
- Knowledge of DNV, ABS, or other relevant marine classification society rules.
- Project management experience.
