Job Description
Are you passionate about sustainability and innovative clean technologies? ComEd is seeking a dynamic and motivated CleanTech Innovation Intern to join our Sustainability team in Joliet, IL. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to real-world projects focused on advancing clean energy solutions, optimizing resource efficiency, and promoting environmental stewardship within a leading energy company. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining invaluable insight into the energy sector’s transition to a sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in researching emerging clean technologies and their potential application within ComEd's operations.
- Support the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives and programs.
- Collect and analyze data related to energy consumption, waste reduction, and environmental impact.
- Contribute to reports and presentations on sustainability performance and clean tech innovation.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and emissions reductions.
- Help organize and facilitate workshops or informational sessions on sustainable practices.
- Perform general administrative duties and support project coordination as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in clean technology, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability Studies, Business Administration with a focus on sustainability, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of energy systems or utility operations.
- Experience with data analysis tools or sustainability reporting frameworks.
