Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Director to lead our multi-disciplinary clinical team in Headington, Oxfordshire. This pivotal role will oversee the strategic development and operational management of clinical services, ensuring the delivery of outstanding patient care, clinical excellence, and adherence to regulatory standards. The Clinical Director will be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and professional development amongst staff, while also contributing to the overall strategic direction of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong clinical leadership and strategic direction for all clinical services.
- Ensure the highest standards of patient safety, clinical governance, and quality assurance are maintained.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management of clinical staff.
- Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage clinical budgets effectively, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster an environment of innovation.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and healthcare partners.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and business development of the facility.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant CQC regulations and professional standards.
- Champion a patient-centred approach to care delivery.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience in a senior clinical leadership role within a healthcare setting.
- Proven track record of managing and developing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of clinical governance, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Financial acumen and experience with budget management.
- Ability to make sound clinical and operational decisions under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience working within the private healthcare sector.
- Active registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC, GMC).
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and leadership training.
