Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Cloud Security Specialist to join our dynamic team in Burnaby, BC. This critical role is responsible for ensuring the robust security of SAP’s cloud infrastructure, applications, and data. You will play a key part in designing, implementing, and monitoring security controls, performing risk assessments, and responding to security incidents in our cloud environments. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust security architectures for SAP's cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning of cloud environments.
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Monitor cloud security systems and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and post-incident analysis.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline and cloud native applications.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud security threats, technologies, and compliance requirements.
- Provide expert guidance and training on cloud security principles to internal teams.
- Participate in security audits and contribute to compliance efforts (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
Required Skills
- Proven experience with cloud security principles and best practices (e.g., CSA CCM, NIST Cloud Security).
- Strong understanding of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) security features and services.
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, WAF, IDS/IPS, DLP.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex security concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer).
- Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CCSP.
- Experience with DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks relevant to cloud environments.
