Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and commercially astute Commercial Lawyer to join our growing team in Swansea. This role offers an exciting opportunity to advise a diverse portfolio of clients, from SMEs to large corporations, on a broad spectrum of commercial law matters. You will be instrumental in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts, providing strategic legal counsel, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial legal principles and a commitment to delivering practical, client-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including supply agreements, service agreements, distribution agreements, and terms and conditions.
- Provide clear, concise, and commercially focused legal advice to clients on various commercial law issues.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support client matters and internal knowledge sharing.
- Manage client relationships effectively, understanding their business objectives and providing tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with colleagues across different legal disciplines to offer integrated client services.
- Participate in business development activities and contribute to the firm's growth.
- Stay updated on developments in commercial law and regulatory changes.
Required Skills
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales.
- At least 4 years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) in commercial law.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work effectively under pressure.
- Client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with clients in the technology, manufacturing, or retail sectors.
- Exposure to data protection (GDPR) and intellectual property matters.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior colleagues or paralegals.
