Job Description
Accenture is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Natural Language Processing (NLP) Intern to join our innovative AI Labs in Naperville, IL. This is a unique opportunity for aspiring AI professionals to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge NLP technologies within a leading global professional services company. As an NLP Intern, you will work alongside experienced data scientists and engineers on real-world projects, contributing to the development of intelligent solutions that leverage the power of natural language understanding and generation. This internship is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to the entire lifecycle of AI project development, from data exploration and model training to deployment and evaluation. We are looking for individuals with foundational knowledge in NLP and machine learning who are eager to learn and contribute to groundbreaking AI initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, preprocessing, and annotation of textual data for NLP tasks.
- Support the development and implementation of NLP models using Python and relevant libraries (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face).
- Conduct experiments to evaluate model performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and contribute to solution design.
- Document research findings, code, and methodologies clearly and concisely.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in NLP and artificial intelligence through continuous learning.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Linguistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Foundational understanding of natural language processing concepts and machine learning principles.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Familiarity with at least one NLP library (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, scikit-learn).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a fast-paced research environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework or projects specifically focused on NLP, deep learning, or computational linguistics.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
