Job Description
Join our dynamic logistics team as a Conveyor Belt Jam Clearer! This active and essential role ensures the smooth flow of goods through our state-of-the-art distribution center in Quebec City. You will be responsible for quickly identifying and resolving blockages on conveyor systems, preventing delays, and maintaining operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Promptly identify and clear conveyor belt jams and blockages.
- Monitor conveyor systems for irregular operation and potential issues.
- Safely operate equipment and tools necessary for jam clearing, following all safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and colleagues regarding system status and issues.
- Perform light maintenance tasks as directed, such as cleaning debris from conveyor areas.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support operations.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and operational procedures.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
- Basic problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with conveyor systems or material handling equipment.
