Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Corporate Event AV Setup Crew member to join our dynamic team. This role involves the setup, operation, and teardown of audio visual equipment for various corporate events held in hotels and conference centers across the UK, with a focus on our operations in and around Dundee. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to travel to different event sites. Full training will be provided to ensure you become proficient in our equipment and event protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport, unload, and set up audio visual equipment (projectors, screens, sound systems, microphones, lighting, etc.) at event venues.
- Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of AV systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Operate AV equipment during live events as required, under the guidance of lead technicians.
- Dismantle and pack up equipment efficiently and safely after events.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both on-site and in the warehouse.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, venue staff, and other crew members.
- Travel to various event locations, which may include overnight stays.
Required Skills
- Strong manual dexterity and physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
- Basic understanding of audio visual equipment or a strong willingness to learn.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
- Valid UK driving license and ability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event setup, warehousing, or a similar physically demanding role.
- Familiarity with basic electronics or stage production.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- First Aid certification.
