Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Counter Servers to join our team in Cairns. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to start a career in the fast-food industry. As a Counter Server, you will be the face of Hungry Jack’s, responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking accurate orders, handling transactions, and ensuring a clean and welcoming dining experience. Full training will be provided to help you succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with menu selections
- Accurately take food and beverage orders using our point-of-sale system
- Handle cash and electronic transactions efficiently and accurately
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to Hungry Jack's standards
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area, counter, and kitchen
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, following all safety guidelines
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders to customers
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally and promptly
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service orientation
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic numeracy for handling transactions
- No prior experience required; full training will be provided
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., retail, hospitality) is a plus but not required
- Current Food Handler's Certificate or willingness to obtain one
