Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Courier Driver to join our dynamic team in Manchester. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of parcels and documents to our valued customers throughout the Greater Manchester area. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring excellent driving skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing outstanding service. Full training on our systems and delivery protocols will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to collect and deliver parcels, packages, and documents.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes.
- Interact professionally with customers, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
- Handle parcels with care and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Complete all required paperwork and electronic delivery confirmations accurately.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading the vehicle as needed.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license (Category B minimum).
- Clean driving record.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a driving or delivery role.
- Good knowledge of the Greater Manchester road network.
- Familiarity with handheld scanning devices.
