Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Courier Runner in Fremantle. This is an active, on-site role perfect for those who enjoy being on the move and connecting with the community. As a Courier Runner, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe pick-up and delivery of mail, parcels, and other items within designated city areas. Full training will be provided to ensure you are equipped with all the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this dynamic role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform timely and accurate pick-up and delivery of packages and mail items.
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections, including proof of delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service, interacting professionally with recipients and senders.
- Conduct daily pre-start checks on delivery vehicles and report any maintenance issues.
- Sort and organise packages efficiently for optimal delivery routes.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian C-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift and carry packages up to 20kg.
- Strong navigational skills and familiarity with local street directories or GPS devices.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery, courier, or related customer-facing role is a plus.
- Good knowledge of the Fremantle and surrounding Perth metropolitan area.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety practices.
- Ability to adapt to changing delivery schedules and demands.
