Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Road Marker Helpers to join our team for casual night shifts in Mandurah, WA. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for high pay and flexible work, with full training provided. As a Road Marker Helper, you will work alongside experienced road marking crews, assisting with the preparation, application, and clean-up of road line markings and signage. This role requires physical fitness, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively during night hours in an outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and pack-down of road marking equipment and safety signage.
- Prepare road surfaces for marking, including sweeping and cleaning.
- Help apply various road markings such as lines, arrows, and symbols using stencils and applicators.
- Support the operation of road marking machinery under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety procedures and traffic management plans.
- Work collaboratively with the road marking team to ensure efficient project completion.
- Handle and mix marking materials according to specifications.
- Undertake general labouring tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for night shifts.
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Valid Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction Induction Card (White Card) current within Australia.
- Previous experience in outdoor work or a labouring role (not essential, full training provided).
- Basic understanding of road safety procedures.
