Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a Crisis Support Worker, providing crucial text-based emotional support to individuals experiencing various forms of crisis. Key Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming text messages from individuals in crisis, offering immediate support and empathetic engagement.
- Utilize active listening and de-escalation techniques to help callers navigate their immediate emotional distress.
- Assess crisis situations and identify potential risks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Provide accurate information about local, regional, and national mental health resources and support services.
- Document interactions clearly and concisely within our secure system, maintaining confidentiality and adherence to privacy policies.
- Collaborate with a team of support workers and supervisors, participating in ongoing training and supervision.
- Maintain a non-judgmental and supportive demeanor, fostering trust and rapport with individuals in distress.
