Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable CSCS Labourer to join our dynamic construction team on an exciting new project in Swansea. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or further their career in the construction industry with a respected global leader. As a CSCS Labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our construction sites operate smoothly and safely, supporting skilled trades and maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting various tradespersons (e.g., bricklayers, carpenters, electricians) with their daily tasks.
- Moving and transporting materials, tools, and equipment around the construction site.
- Maintaining site cleanliness and organisation, including waste removal and general tidiness.
- Operating small plant and hand tools as required, following all safety guidelines.
- Undertaking general manual duties as directed by the site supervisor or foreman.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Loading and unloading deliveries.
- Setting up and dismantling site equipment and temporary structures.
Required Skills
- Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Proven ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Basic understanding of construction site health and safety procedures.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working on a construction site.
- First Aid certification.
- Relevant plant operator licenses (e.g., dumper, forklift) are a plus.
