Job Description
Are you a passionate culinary student eager to gain invaluable hands-on experience in a bustling commercial kitchen? The Komo Resort & Events is offering a unique Culinary Student Placement designed to immerse you in the fast-paced world of professional hospitality. This entry-level opportunity requires no prior commercial kitchen experience – just an enthusiastic attitude and a desire to learn. You will work alongside our talented chefs, contributing to daily kitchen operations and learning the foundational skills necessary for a successful culinary career. Full training and mentorship will be provided, ensuring a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs with food preparation, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation and adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Support the kitchen team with general duties, such as receiving deliveries and stock rotation.
- Learn various cooking techniques and preparation methods under direct supervision.
- Observe and understand kitchen workflows during service periods.
