Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Cultural Consultant specializing in Diversity & Inclusion to join our People & Culture team in Bathurst. This vital role will involve developing, implementing, and championing D&I initiatives across our regional operations. You will be instrumental in fostering a truly inclusive culture where every employee feels valued, respected, and empowered to bring their whole selves to work. This position requires a deep understanding of D&I best practices, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to cultural change.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement D&I strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Conduct cultural assessments, analyze data, and provide insights to identify areas for improvement in diversity and inclusion.
- Design and deliver workshops, training programs, and awareness campaigns on D&I topics for employees and leadership.
- Partner with HR business partners and line managers to integrate D&I principles into talent management processes, including recruitment, performance, and career development.
- Serve as an internal expert and consultant on D&I issues, providing guidance and support to various departments.
- Monitor and report on D&I metrics and progress, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
- Engage with external D&I networks, industry bodies, and community organizations to stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends.
- Contribute to the development of inclusive policies and practices that support a diverse workforce.
- Organize and support employee resource groups (ERGs) and other internal D&I forums.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in developing and implementing Diversity & Inclusion strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging training and workshops.
- Deep understanding of cultural nuances and awareness of unconscious bias.
- Proficiency in project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently on assigned tasks.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Diversity & Inclusion, Human Resources, or Organizational Psychology.
- Experience working within the financial services industry.
- Certifications in Diversity & Inclusion, Change Management, or related areas.
- Experience with HRIS systems and D&I data analytics tools.
